Physicians get new tool to help order, track medical tests

A toolkit to help primary care physicians order medical tests, track results and follow-up with patients was released by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality. The agency said about 40% of primary care encounters include a medical test and data show current processes for managing them are a "significant source of error and patient harm."
