Southwest, JetBlue likely to bid for divested slots

JetBlue Airways and Southwest Airlines are most likely to bid on slots divested as part of the American Airlines-US Airways mergers settlement. "All low-cost carriers likely have some interest, but JetBlue and Southwest are the most eager bidders," said analyst Duane Pfennigwerth with Evercore Partners Inc. "JetBlue and Southwest see a larger opportunity at Reagan."
