Small hotel surcharges making a large comeback on guest bills

Small extra hotel charges that lost favor during the recession are now quietly making their way back on to guests' bills, and they're more creative than ever. Charges include minibar restocking fees, meeting-room reset fees and automatic tips. The add-on charges will bring an additional $1.2 billion in extra revenue for the hotel industry this year, according to a new study.
