FDA offers holiday food-safety guidelines

The FDA has offered new guidelines for avoiding foodborne illnesses this holiday season. The guidelines focus on four areas: cleaning hands, fruits and vegetables; separating foods to avoid cross-contamination; cooking safely and thoroughly; and refrigerating food quickly.
