Poet to use waste wood in biofuel plant

Ethanol refiner Poet said it plans to raise the production of its ethanol plant in Chancellor, S.D., to 100 million gallons and use a solid-waste-fuel boiler to produce power derived from discarded wood pallets. The new process will help the firm reduce costs and cut its natural gas consumption by 60%, a plant official said.
