In show of unity, GSMA gives thumbs up to LTE

The GSM Association has backed LTE as the broadband standard to succeed HSPA, a show of unity against Qualcomm's UMB and WiMAX, which is backed by the computer industry, the group's CEO announced in China earlier this week. LTE is now part of the GSMA's move to push mobile-broadband usage over cell networks.
