Teachers in Wis. district say plan that pushes them to retire is unfair

Educators in Wausau, Wis., say a budget plan that relies on 40 veteran teachers retiring is unfair. "After 30 years, I felt disheartened that I could be dismissed so easily, that all my experience could be taken so lightly," one teacher said. School officials say that if not enough teachers retire, they will be forced to lay off teachers and school staffers to cut costs.
