Demand prompts U.S. carriers to expand flights to Asia

Delta Air Lines, United Continental Holdings and other American carriers are expanding their services to Asia in response to an increase in demand and a lack of capacity. China's economic growth rate is triple that of the U.S., making the country a good bet. Meanwhile, airlines are gaining more access to an airport that is closer to downtown Tokyo, giving them a foothold in the lucrative Japanese market.
