Anti-virus software is one area where many business owners are loath to cut corners, but some experts say "Security Essentials," a free product from Microsoft, is just as good as -- and maybe better than -- subscription-based products from Norton, McAfee and others. The secret? "Security Essentials" shares much of its programming with Microsoft's "enterprise-grade Forefront product, which is most assuredly not free," according to an article by Ed Bott that is quoted in this blog post.
