Nanoparticle technique could lead to better treatments

U.S. researchers were able to monitor in real time the movement of nanoparticles from the lungs to the bloodstream of rats by equipping each nanoparticle with a fluorescent probe that lights up when exposed to near-infrared imaging system. The technique could prove useful to researchers in developing more potent drugs.
