Anti-money-laundering rules for financial advisers are in the works

Work has resumed on anti-money-laundering rules for financial advisers and other investment professionals in the U.S. Advisers would be required under the rules to adopt anti-money-laundering programs and report suspicious activity, said James Freis Jr., director of the Treasury Department's Financial Crimes Enforcement Network.
