EU panel to consider Monsanto, Bayer soybeans

A European Union appeals panel will consider the use of biotech soybeans as food and feed after regulators failed to approve a renewal for Monsanto and a new request by Bayer. "The lack of a committee decision does not impact trade, and we remain confident that in due course the renewal will be issued. We expect that a positive renewal decision will result in time," said Monsanto spokeswoman Kelli Powers.
