Halliburton's fracking fluid comes from fruits, vegetables

Halliburton, which is among the biggest hydraulic fracturing companies in the world, earlier this year unveiled its environmentally friendly fracking formulation derived from the food industry. The formulation relies "on some of the same acids and enzymes present in [fruits and vegetables] to create one of the most innovative and environmentally safe fracture solutions ever conceived," according to the company.
