Students in California, Utah learn about GIS

Some students in Banning, Calif., schools are learning how to use Geographic Information System software, which was underwritten for the classrooms by Esri. During one lesson, middle-school students used the software to plot the different forms of government that countries use. Meanwhile, in Utah County, Utah, students learned about GIS as part of an early Geographic Information Systems Day event.
