Does your dog need a canine influenza vaccine?

Dogs can't get influenza from humans and vice versa, but they can catch canine influenza from other dogs. Vaccinations aren't necessary for all dogs, but if your dog congregates with others, such as at doggy day care, protection from canine influenza may be in order, writes Tanya Basu. Dogs with canine influenza experience symptoms similar to those in people infected with human strains.
