Analysis: Varying serving sizes may lead to consumer confusion

Some consumer groups and nutritionists say calorie-counters can be confused by certain nutrition labels if they don't account for serving size. The F.D.A. is being asked to strengthen its labeling laws but has said it plans no changes. Food companies such as Kraft say they have been abiding by labeling laws, and Campbell Soup says it will continue labeling nutritional information by serving size, rather than the overall package's content.
