California city gets eco-friendly with asphalt choice

Stockton, Calif., is going green with its choice of asphalt for paving. The city is working with George Reed Inc. to use a warm-mix asphalt technique, which is produced at temperatures more than 100 degrees lower than traditional hot-mix asphalt applications and therefore could reduce fuel consumption.
