Analysts praise deliberate pace in Delta, Northwest merger

"Thoughtful" and "methodical" are the watchwords at Delta Air Lines as it begins the two-year process of integrating operations following a merger with Northwest Airlines. Industry watchers see a "day-and-night" difference in the process since Northwest's last big merger -- its takeover of Republic Airlines in 1986.
