Bush's HHS chief encourages Obama to explore personalized care

HHS Secretary Michael Leavitt released a report urging President-elect Barack Obama to capitalize on electronic health records, genetic tests and other tools used in personalized medicine to reform the health care system. Implementing measures to prevent the waste and overuse of drugs as well as resources will help control costs and boost access to health care, Leavitt said.
