Firm: Hulu to tie YouTube in U.S. ad sales in 2009

Hulu, the News Corp-NBC Universal video startup, by next year will catch up in U.S. ad sales to its more established rival, Google's YouTube, according to a forecast from digital media research firm Screen Digest. The firm's research projects YouTube will notch $100 million in U.S. ad sales this year, compared to $70 million for Hulu, while each will post $180 million in U.S. ad revenues in 2009, per the forecast.
