Loss of contract may leave few options for workers with disabilities

A north Texas company that employs workers with mental disabilities may close after it lost a major contract due to the tough economy. "She looks forward to going there and seeing her friends," said Jim Warner, whose 48-year-old daughter with Down syndrome has worked at the company for more than 30 years. "It gives her something to do, and she feels like she's accomplishing something rather than sitting at home every day."
