Study shows pros, cons of two Hawaii rail options

Honolulu's recently released environmental impact statement lays out arguments for and against two routes being considered by the City Council for its rail plan. One, which would take the train through the Salt Lake area, would serve more residents and cost less, while the other, which would go to the airport and Pearl Harbor, would serve more employers and possibly have higher ridership. It would also cost $220 million more.
