BofA's Moynihan a close contender for CEO role

Bank of America's head of consumer banking, Brian Moynihan, is under close consideration for the position of chief executive officer. Moynihan, who will appear today before a House committee investigating the bank's acquisition of Merrill Lynch, reportedly would accept the position, but would stay with the bank if he didn't get it. "I have devoted a lot of energy to help make this a great company, and I plan to keep doing that however the CEO selection shakes out," Moynihan said.
