Confident RIM executives stay the course despite analysts

Research in Motion's two top executives vowed to plow full speed ahead with their BlackBerry sales strategies despite Wall Street concerns that a glutted smartphone market will erode the company's dominance. "When we went public everyone was saying, 'Oh my God, you're going to get crushed by Motorola, Ericsson and paging and this emerging Nokia,' " said Jim Balsillie, one of RIM's co-CEOs. Separately, RIM's security chief warned hackers could turn smartphones into "rogue" devices.
