IPIC to choose among five European petrochems to build UAE plant

International Petroleum Investment Co. is negotiating with several petrochemical companies, including Bayer MaterialScience and Nova, for a joint venture to build a petrochemical plant in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates, an IPIC official said. Khadem Al Qubaisi also said the Middle East investment outfit is looking for new acquisitions in Europe. A company spokesman for Bayer said the firm does not comment on market rumors.
