S.C. student-athletes are headed to the national Special Olympics

The 10-member unified soccer team from the South Carolina School for the Deaf and the Blind will be the lone soccer team from the state to participate the upcoming Special Olympics 2010 USA National Games this summer in Nebraska. Formed this year, the team recently won a gold medal at the state games. "I really wanted to give them a chance to go to the Special Olympics," coach Joe Johnson said.
