Because the ability to focus is like a muscle that can be strengthened through exercise, Tony Schwartz suggests a four-step workout. For instance, start each day by spending at least 60 uninterrupted minutes on your most important task, and end each day with at least 30 minutes of writing in a journal or reading a challenging book.
