GAO says doctors have trouble providing price estimates

A Government Accountability Office survey of health care providers found physicians have trouble providing cost estimates to patients, which makes it difficult for prices to be part of health care decision-making. However, some websites that provide cost estimates for a given region may help patients make decisions.
