Rate of eye problems declines in diabetes patients

The number of diabetes patients reporting vision problems decreased from 26% in 1997 to 18.6% in 2010, according to CDC researchers. However, the number of patients who undergo annual eye exams remained constant at 63%. The findings appear in the Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report.
