A 48-hour BIM-a-thon team designs convention center

The BIM Academy team, which included specialists from BIM Academy, AECOM, Davis Langdon, Ryder Architecture, dRofus, KyKloud, Northumbria University, and Color UDL, designed a model of the new Sydney Convention & Exhibition Center as part of the Build Sydney Live competition. The building also meets 6 Star Green Star criteria. "[We] were well aware of the challenges and opportunities related to a project of this nature," said Steve Appleby, AECOM BIM practice lead, Australia/New Zealand. "Our view was to adopt design and equipment that would lead to the Center generating power to feed back into the grid."
