Coffee may help cut risk of type 2 diabetes, review finds

Recent studies have found multiple potential health benefits of coffee, such as lower risk of depression and Alzheimer's disease, and in a recent meta-analysis in the European Journal of Nutrition, researchers found that two cups of coffee per day reduced the development of type 2 diabetes by 12%. Coffee contains many polyphenols, and one in particular, chlorogenic acid, has been shown to delay glucose absorption.
