IFC wants audiences to believe fake author is real

IFC, to promote its upcoming miniseries spoof, "The Spoils of Babylon," has developed a fake persona in the form of supposed author Eric Jonrosh. The effort includes fake news about Jonrosh's book selling out and the fictitious writer reviewing other best-sellers. "We like to pretend he's real," said IFC marketing chief Blake Callaway.
