India finance minister sees better growth, contained current-account gap

Finance Minister P. Chidambaram is predicting a 5%-to-5.5% annual growth rate for India in the second half of the fiscal year. He also projected a fiscal deficit of no more than 4.8% of GDP for the year and a current-account gap of less than US$56 billion.
