Maine students give their tokens to help food bank

Meroby Elementary School students in Mexico, Maine, are giving back what they have earned -- "code of excellence" tokens for doing good deeds, such as picking up the trash or being polite. With the help of the Teachers Sunshine Fund, each token will be worth 25 cents, which will be given to a food bank to help people in need. "We are teaching what it means to be kind, to be grateful, to make a donation to help an organization," said school principal Melanie Chasse.
