No rebuilding yet, but clearing underway for Philippines' typhoon-hit areas

The World Bank has announced it is allocating $500 million in support of rebuilding efforts for those in the typhoon-hit Visayas region of the Philippines. Several countries have offered aid, as have some heavy-construction equipment manufacturers and architecture, engineering and construction organizations. Long-term plans must be made for the reconstruction effort, and the city must be rebuilt on higher, safer ground according to architect Felino "Jun" Palafox, Jr.
