Nurses play important role in increasing adoption of health IT

Health IT has become a vital part of the nursing practice, but nurses should keep in mind that information technology is just a tool and that they should be conscious of the safety and quality of care linked to their processes, ANA Senior Policy Fellow Carol J. Bickford said. "Nurses need to be partners on moving forward with technology initiatives. If something doesn't seem quite right, they need to raise the question and get an answer for it," Bickford said.
