A push for Afrocentric course content in Philadelphia schools

Protestors yesterday called for the Philadelphia School District, where two-thirds of the students are black, to hire more minority teachers and offer a more multicultural curriculum. District officials later announced they were developing new social studies courses incorporating more African and African-American history.
