Study: Math NAEP is too easy

According to a report from The Brookings Institution, the National Assessment of Educational Progress math test relies too heavily on whole number problem-solving skills and too little on fractions, decimals and percentages. The study, which also found that roughly 40% of the questions on the fourth- and eighth-grade exams address skills taught in first or second grade, evaluated the test's rigor by using Singapore's math textbooks.
