DaimlerChrysler to promote biofuel in cars

The world's fifth-largest automaker vowed to develop engines to run on mixtures of biodiesel or ethanol in an effort to help promote the use of alternative fuels. DaimlerChrysler also said it would join with other auto and oil companies in lobbying for changes in fuel standards and incentives designed to promote biofuels.
