AHRQ identifies factors that affect health IT usage

A study published by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality identifies several functions of an interactive health IT system that tend to have a positive effect on patients, especially the elderly, chronically ill and underserved. The findings suggest that the benefit perceived by consumers from using an interactive health care system is the most common factor affecting the system's successful use.
