Bush announces holiday travel measures

On Tuesday morning, President George W. Bush outlined plans for easing travel delays during the upcoming busy holiday periods surrounding Thanskgiving and Christmas. The Air Transport Association today applauded the administration's decision to open up additional airspace to commercial traffic along the Eastern seaboard, as well as in other markets. Despite a 10% drop in passengers this year, most planes will fly more than 80% full due to overall reductions in capacity, according to ATA forecasts.
