AirTran to install seat-back ads throughout fleet

AirTran Airways plans to become the first U.S. carrier with tray table advertising on all its flights. Within weeks, AirTran will have the 2 1/2 inch by 9 inch ads installed on 138 aircraft. The AirTran ads will be on the bottom of the trays, where they will be visible "anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the length of your flight," according to a company executive.
