Asthma, H1N1 dangerous mix for children, experts say

Asthma and other underlying health problems have been reported in two-thirds of the estimated 540 pediatric deaths from H1N1 flu, according to CDC data. Children with asthma, including those with only intermittent flare-ups, should be vaccinated against the flu and maintain compliance with any medications, and parents should watch for escalating symptoms if their children get sick, experts said.
