Fed officials offer outlooks on speed of recovery

The Federal Reserve will need to start withdrawing economic support even as pockets of weakness continue, according to Jeffrey Lacker, president of the Federal Reserve Bank in Richmond, Va. Lacker's comments come as Fed officials offered differing opinions on the pace of the economic recovery. Cleveland Fed President Sandra Pianalto and San Francisco Fed chief Janet Yellen both said they expect a slow economic recovery.
