Providers, insurers hold course on mammogram policies

Health providers and insurers are not planning changes to policies and practices on mammograms following a federal advisory panel's recommendation women begin the breast cancer screenings at 50 instead of 40. AHIP spokeswoman Susan Pisano said the industry group doesn't believe payments will vary based on whether women who get mammograms are in the target age group.
