Smartphone use drives local search, Internet use

As the use of smartphones proliferates so are the number of searches for local products and services as well as the time users spend browsing the Internet, according to the annual "Mobile Market View" report from BIA/Kelsey and ConStat. The study found more than 20% of mobile-phone users go online at least 10 times each week and that local searches now outpace out-of-market activity "by a wide margin."
