Terminal construction moves ahead, but lawsuit expands

Construction of a container shipping terminal in Charleston, S.C., will continue to move ahead, a federal judge ruled this week. However, the judge allowed the Coastal Conservation League to add the Federal Highway Administration as a defendant in a lawsuit challenging the project. The lawsuit seeks to preserve options for adding rail connections at the terminal, which is expected to open in 2017.
