Comcast teams with Sporting News for local coverage

Looking to get a larger share of voice in the online sports market, Comcast Sports Group formed a partnership with Sporting News to develop local editions of Sporting News Today, a Web-based publication. The deal covers cities where the cable provider already operates a regional sports network. According to terms of the deal, which has been rolled out in Philadelphia, Comcast will sell local ads and Sporting News will handle national sales.
