FDA committee renews hearings on ban of menthol cigarettes

The FDA's Tobacco Products Scientific Advisory Committee on Thursday resumed discussion on whether to prohibit menthol-flavored cigarettes, which anti-smoking advocates say attract more youths to start smoking and make it harder for them to kick the habit. The advisory panel will submit its findings to the HHS by March of next year.
