Resistance training offers vascular benefits over aerobics

A study found that resistance training led to bigger increases in blood flow to the limbs compared with aerobic workouts that just reduced arterial stiffness. Researchers said resistance exercise also caused longer-lasting decreases in blood pressure after exercise compared with aerobic exercise.
